PAINTKILLER

Prospects

Sam and Jorge, the couple that's not too far from where I'm camped out, are planning to dip out early in the morning tomorrow before they get kicked out - so I'm trying to leech as much of their wi-fi as I can until then lol. They've been super gracious about it, apparently not nearly as chronically online as I typically live my life, so it's been pretty alright. We grilled a pork tenderloin over an open flame tonight. They picked it up from the food shelf and if it didn't get used soon, it would have gone to waste. And they're not terribly concerned with and/or knowledgeable about cooking for the most part, so I stepped in made that shit happen. That was a gotdamn nice treat, lemme tell ya. Will kinda suck to not have 'em down the road, odd how closely and quickly you can form a bond with another human.

I've got a job interview lined up for tomorrow. Haven't managed to be able to pick up the government phone that's sitting in my P.O.Box due to lack of gas, so while I typically am kind of aggro about how the job market is all online applications and such more than it isn't these days, it's kind of a blessing in disguise to have something like Indeed where you can apply, host a resume, direct message with employers, schedule interviews, etc. Not terribly into the idea over all, but again, in my current predicament and lack of phone, it's been pretty clutch. It's a gas station job, cashier and kitchen, nothing glamorous but it's relatively close to the area I plan to kick it for the foreseeable future - even if not somewhere in this particular dispersed camping area. Not incredible pay but pretty alright for such a job. Grateful, once again, for someone from the Neocities community being generous enough to help me out with a few bucks for gas to make the interview and, if hired - Universe willing!, at least a couple of days back and forth.

There's possibility brewing of potentially getting my dog back. No guarantee, and frankly I've learned to not trust or expect anything until it's in front of my own two eyes, but it sounds promising. Won't be for a few weeks yet, as the instrumental person willing to help facilitate it is on the road for work for as long. Fingers. Fucking. Crossed. I've never lost so much sleep or cried so much in my life since I went back to that abomination of a situation and found her missing.

Related, discussed an online earning potential that sounds super promising and decently paying, comes recommended from a trusted source in the aforementioned Neocities community, and was also offered help with autoship dog food - if I get my dog back, pleeeaaase! - and can sort out a shipping address - my current P.O.Box is not large enough, but a likely and relatively easy upgrade once I got some income - thankfully I'm paid up for another two & a half months. If I haven't said it recently, I apologize, but I know I've said it before - the Neocities community is fucking phenomenal. Frankly, wouldn't be here without it and those that are a part of it, with all the shit going on, so THANK YOU!

Everything else in the day to day for the last day or so is pretty mundane to discuss. It was close to twenty degrees cooler today, which was a nice bonus, I suppose. Opened the windows and let it breathe for the first time in too long. Grabbed a couple flowers for some air freshener - for a day or two anyhow, until they dry up lol.

And, until I'm more or less back on my feet, I'm going to continue to mention it - if you're interested in and willing/able to help, my PayPal link is in the menu at the top of the page.
